The firm of Gregg, Wies & Gardner Architects, LLC has extensive experience in renovating and preserving a wide range of historic buildings and places: 123 Edge Hill, one of New Haven’s finest private residences, originally designed by Delano & Aldritch, and many other homes throughout New England; at Yale University, the Law School Auditorium and Rose Alumni House; University of Connecticut’s Wilbur Cross Building and other notable university buildings; we have also renovated important 20th century masterpieces including Yale’s Beineke Rare Book Library and the Yale Center for British Art. Historic places include the New London Parade, that city’s most important civic space. Current projects include restoration of New London’s Harbor Light, Connecticut’s oldest and tallest light house; restoration of the New London Maritime Museum, designed originally by Robert Mills, architect of the Washington Monument; and rebuilding a portion of the Adee Boathouse for the City of New Haven.
