We are design professional-service corporation founded by a collaboration of architects, preservationists, and material conservators. With offices in New York City, New Canaan, CT, Boston, MA and Caldwell, NJ, we serve the tristate area and beyond. We are one of the nation’s leaders in historic preservation, with advanced expertise in building-conservation technologies, architectural restoration, and exterior envelope repairs.
The 13-person professional staff of APS has been involved in some of the most important preservation projects of the last two decades, including Frank Lloyd Wright’s Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and Fallingwater, the historic Breakers and Château-sur-Mer mansions in Newport, RI and Louis Sullivan’s Bayard-Condict Building in NYC. In Connecticut, we have worked on a number of historic structures including the Norwich and New London City Halls, St. John’s Episcopal Church (Washington), Avon Congregational Church (Avon), the Gilbert & Bennett Wire Mill (Georgetown), the David Dimon Coley House (Weston), the Standish and Solomon Welles Houses (Wethersfield), Waveny Carriage Barn and Vine Cottage (New Canaan).
